- After you finish creating your poll, we will provide you with a standard HTML code, the language that all websites are made up of. All that you need to do is copy and paste this code anywhere in your website's source code. If you use online tools and/or software to design your website and are not familiar with HTML code, please contact your website provider and ask them for assistance.
If you don't have a website, we also provide tools to easily post your poll on Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, and many more sites.
- Our service is provided free of charge in exchange for advertisements that we will place on your poll's result pages (seen only when someone votes, or view your poll's results). We won't put any advertising your website itself, only a link back to our site.
- When you create your poll, you can choose whether you would like to allow one vote per day, week, month or year. We use multiple methods, including cookies and filtering of IP address data (in accordance with our Privacy Policy) to try to allow one vote per user. Although there is no perfect method available on the Internet for unregistered users, we believe ours is among the best.
- No, your poll can receive an unlimited number of votes.
- Pollcode accounts are loaded with features! With an account, you can delete a poll or reset its votes at any time, you can allow comments to your polls, or you can even retrieve your poll's HTML code at a later time. Best of all, you can see all of your polls in one convenient location.
-
If you have a Pollcode account, you can delete it by clicking "Access Account Admin" area in the top right corner of our main page.
Otherwise, just remove the poll's code from your site. We regularly remove inactive polls for inactivity.
- You must be sure that you are logged in when you create your poll. If not, it will be created as a guest. It is not possible to add a poll that was created as a guest to your account. You can always determine your current status by looking in the top right corner when you are creating a poll.
If you want to be sure you are always logged in, check the "Remember me on this computer until I log out" box the next time you log in.
- You will need to create a new poll, and copy the new code to your site. It isn't possible to change the settings of an existing poll, because this might be unfair to those who have already voted.
- We regularly remove polls from our system that have not received a vote in over 30 days, in order to free up system resources for active customers. This is in accordance with our Terms of Service.
- No, we hope you create lots of them!
